When considering who you get to sell your Whangarei home we always suggest that commission should not be the deciding factor, but one of many. The right agent with the right plan can be the difference between an okay price and an exceptional one so the whole service you receive needs to be considered.
Our strong belief is that with the increase in property values over the last few years* the ‘standard’ fee was not fair to the seller, the one who worked hard to buy the home. So we came up with what we consider a fairer fee, one that is 25% or more less than the majority charge. Our agents still perform well, and are rewarded fairly for their efforts, while passing a better net result than most to our sellers at sale time.
*As an example when comparing the Whangarei median sale prices for June 2015 and June 2018 shows an increase in values of approximately 52% which equates to commission/success fees increasing by approximately 41% !
(success fee increase based on a fee of 4% to $350,000 and 2% thereafter, plus a $400 base/administration fee)
